Elsawin 5.3 Windows 7 32bit:
This is how i installed:
– first make shure that you have full authorizations in Windows 7 (administrator)
– Then turn off the DEP (data execution prevention) function in windows 7
by : Run CMD as admin, run command – bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx
AlwaysOff , and reboot.
Run ElsaWin 4.0 till 5.3 as admin with XP compatibility. DO NOT ADD a database till you finished update 5.3, and with all installations “Check” and install the German language. (this to avoid missing graphics files.) i have done a reboot after each update.
Then install any DB you have!!
If the 5.3 version does not accept the DB because it’s to old just take one of the Control#??.xml files open it in Notepad++(google to download) in the bottom line you see the file nr. () change the ??(nr.) to “53” , then save a copy as : control#53.xml and add to your DB and you can run the BD with success. (tested)
Also check if the languages you have “checked” in the Elsa installation are in the DB setup, if they are not in the DB setup it can be that the setup will be cancelled and no DB is installed or that just the DB is installed but not in all the languages you sellected in the Elsa installation.
Check also before installation if the DB is complete. there are a lot
of DB on the net that are incomplete, some have no Graphics file, some
have just 1 or 2 languages or other files missing.
If you have a known working database use it to compare it with your new database.
i have installed for now the DB VW and Audi.
– VW Database_04.2015 36,3 GB (installed this first because of the size, maybe more complete and is with commercial vehicles)
– VW_01.2016 21.5 GB
– Audi_02_2016 25,3 GB – BEFORE INSTALLING THIS AUDI DB !! open it in
Windows Explorer and look for the file : saz.a._graphics.cab and change
the name to: saz.a.#graphics.cab
It’s just a Typo (error in the name). replace the “_” in “#”. if you do
not you get an error during installation and you end without the
graphics.
i also have these DB: Seat 01-2015 and Skoda 03-2012 , But i did not installed them because mine versions are far from complete and useless.
Elsawin 5.2 Windows 7 32bit:
Step 1: Install AdbeReader 9.0
Open software DVD
Install AdbeRdr90_en_US
Click on Next
Click on Install
Step 2: Install & Activate SetupCD_4.00
Open Elsawin5.2 folder
Open 1.SetupCD_4.00
Open and install Elsa_4.0 Voll_Setup
Press Yes
Select software language
Install ElsaWin 4.00 Setup wizard
Click on Next
The next program will ask you to enter user name, company and serial number
Enter Name: 123 and Company:321
Back to software CD, open S_N notepad, copy and paste S/N 103-47401-40-0002088570-00031, Click on Next
Confirm user information, press Yes
Click on Next
Select setup language: English
Save file to C:\Elsawin, Click on Next
Click on Next
Click Install to install ElsaWin setup
Please send this ID to the dealer for activation code
Enter activation/permanent code, Click on OK
Setup wizard installation completed, click Finish
Step 3: Install SKODA data
Open SKODA folder
Install setup
Click on OK to install Elsa Skoda data setup
Please wait until date is completely installed
Step 4: Install UpdateCD_4.10
Open 2.UpdateCD_4.10 folder
Open and install Elsa_41_Upd_Setup
Click on Yes
Install ElsaWin 4.10 setup, Click on Next
Click on next->Next
Select language, Click on Next
Click on Next.
Click on Install (wait 30 minutes)
Complete installing ElsaWin setup, Click on Finish
Step 5: Install UpdateCD_5.00
Open 3.UpdateCD_5.00 folder
Open and install Elsa_50_Upd_Setup
Install ElsaWin 5.00 setup wizard
Follow system prompt to until complete install wizard, Click on Finish
This time you need to wait for 100 minutes
Step 6: Install SEAT data
Open SEAT folder
Open setup
Click Run
Wait 60 minutes to install Elsa Data Setup
Step 7: Install UpdateCD_5.10
Open Elsawin5.2 folder
Open 4.UpdateCD_5.10 folder
Install ElsaWin 5.10 setup wizard
Follow system prompt and wait 30 minutes until it completed
Click on Finish
Step 8: Install VW Data
Open VW folder
Install setup
Click on OK to install Elsa VW data setup
Please wait 100 minutes
Step 9: Install UpdateCD_5.20
Open Elsawin5.2 folder
Open 5.UpdateCD_5.20 folder
Open and install Elsa_52_Upd_Setup
Install ElsaWin 5.20 setup wizard
Click on Next
Wait 50 minutes until the procedure is done, Click on Finish
Step 10: Install AUDI data
Open AUDI folder
Open Audi folder
Install setup
Wait for 40 minutes to install AUDI Elsa data setup
Step 11: Login ElsaWin 5.2
Open ElsaWin5.2 software on desktop
Enter user name “admin” and keyword “admin”

May you need to install Elsawin on 64 bit with luck. People hardly ever have good success on 64 bit system.

– does not work on 64 bit – 32 bit only
– I have Windows 764BIT and ElsaWin3.9. When I try to install it fails (obviously).
– It acquires something like vmware which allows you to run a virtual machine within the windows 7 environment, you will need a xp iso image to install on the virtual machine.

Part 4: Elsawin software FAQs
– I’m not using the VIN field because when I do, the SW says that I have to launch a query, then opens an IE window, which leads to a non existent web site, and then a “login failed” error message.
– it is limited to the the information already on your pc, you need a dealer code to get through to the website and get more information, that said there is still alot of data in there
to make it work, put your Vin number in, and fill out the rest of the fields, to get the right information you can use the audi codes printed on the inside cover of your service schedule booklet

you can then access the correct information for your car.
– When installing elsawin 5.30, I immidiatly get the error “msxml2.domdocument 3” not found or version too old.
– I can not help much with the installation of version 5.X.
I only use version 4.1 because of the exaggerated disk space used by version 5.
You installed the Skoda Data DVD and Replaced the original Skoda Data DVD files: rl.C.en-GB.cab and all other languages: rl.C.xx-XX.cab ?
Version 5 does not install with these original files. If this is the case, you need these modified files.
– is there any possibility of installing Elsawin 5.3, with databases and functionalities?
I know that skoda only exists until 2012..but in elsawin 4.1 I can see them all
– Yes! You can install 5.X versions. But you need to edit the files rldal.C.xx-XX.mdb That are inside the files rl.C.xx-XX.cab or edit directly after installing version 4.x of the SKODA brand the files rldal.C.xx-XX.mdb in folder C:\Elsamin\Data\
Use Pass D2F224C3 to open/edit the files rldal.C.xx-XX.mdb
Some tables in .mdb files have some missing columns. Add these missing columns.
You can search for the missing columns in comparison with the files of the other brands (VW, AUDI or SEAT)
You can also use the program StarInix Database Compare to compare the differences.
